The HPCA are establishing an Aboriginal Cultural Safety Advisory Group to guide implementation of our joint Aboriginal Cultural Safety Strategy (https://www.hpca.nsw.gov.au/cultural-safety)

The Strategy aims to improve the experiences of Aboriginal people who interact with the NSW healthcare and regulatory system.

We are seeking membership for the Advisory Group from:  

• Aboriginal community members, Custodians, and Elders
• Staff of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations
• Individuals who have worked in Aboriginal advocacy
• The NSW health professional Councils
• Aboriginal people who work within the health sector  
• Aboriginal health worker and practitioner representative bodies
• NSW Ministry of Health - Centre for Aboriginal Health; and
• NSW Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council (AH&MRC).
