Who can I complain about?
You can make a complaint about a registered health practitioner or registered student in NSW in any of these professions:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioners
- Chinese medicine practitioners
- Chiropractors
- Dental practitioners including:
- Dentists
- Dental hygienists
- Dental prosthetists
- Dental specialists
- Dental therapists
- Oral health therapistÂ
- Nurses (including enrolled nurses) and midwives
- Medical practitioners
- Medical radiation practitioners
- Occupational therapists
- Optometrists
- Osteopaths
- Pharmacists
- Physiotherapists
- Podiatrists
- Psychologists

When can I make a complaint about a student?
You can make a complaint about the conduct or health of a registered student, including if they:
- are unwell and place you or someone else at risk of harm while training for their program of study
- have been charged with an offence, or the subject of a criminal conviction or a criminal finding for an offence
- have breached a restriction or limitation on their registration
