The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an important part of the NSW Health system and the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. We work in partnership with the 15 NSW health professional Councils in the regulation of health practitioners in NSW.

Our staff play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the Councils to fulfil regulatory function by managing complaints about NSW health practitioners. 

As an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health, HPCA staff are employed through the Ministry.
